PCL appoints new Export Sales Manager José Delgado
PCL is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Export Sales Manager for Distribution Sales covering Northern and Southern Europe and Ireland.
With extensive, worldwide experience within the automotive sector, José Delgado brings a wealth of industry experience and expertise in export sales management to the PCL team.
A Spanish national, José is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English, and lives with his family in Northampton, making him well-positioned to travel between PCL’s HQ in Sheffield and to customers and distributors abroad.

PCL’s Owen McCaughey Climbs the Career Ladder
Hard work has paid off for Owen McCaughey – for just under seven years after joining PCL’s customer service team as an office junior, he has been appointed Technical Sales Executive for UK and Ireland.
Owen has steadily worked his way up the career ladder since arriving aged just 17 at Sheffield-based PCL, the world-leading manufacturer of tyre inflation and compressed air products. His very first role involved answering phone calls for pricing, delivery dates, order tracking and general enquiries, along with order and data entry. These duties stood him in good stead to quickly progress to Customer Service Administrator, looking after the internal account management of European customers and prospects, whilst dealing with worldwide queries.

Sheffield-based tyre inflation and compressed air equipment manufacturer PCL has announced the launch of its new Partner+ initiative, which is aimed at growing the brand’s market share by supporting distributors to flourish.
“The key goals of Partner+ are commitment and service,” said Sales Director Lee Wright. “The programme will suit distributors who take a broad range of our cutting-edge products. This will enable them to develop and sustain long term sales to their own customer base, rather than just transactional sales.”
In return for a Partner+ company’s commitment, PCL offers a range of incentives, including branded workwear, signage, advantageous trading and credit terms, standard and bespoke marketing support and advice on the use of mailing lists. PCL will also support on Point of Sale posters, product display stands and assistance with online promotion, including social media and website visibility.

Busy distributors with frequent orders of tyre inflation and compressed air products have given PCL’s new online portal the seal of approval.
The easy to navigate system at www.pclairtechnology.com allows distributors to log in to their account and place bulk and one-off orders for next day delivery, removing the need for lengthy, time-consuming emails listing each item by part number.
Once registered, users can access their own dashboard to help them keep track of orders, with their account balance, invoices, shipping details and returns all clearly displayed. Customers can search by product or part number, checking price and stock availability in real time. Repeat orders can be made by simply clicking ‘Reorder’.

Pneumatic Components (PCL), the worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of pneumatic and tyre inflation systems, has appointed three new team members.
Robert Gardner joins as key account manager and brings a combined 19 years’ national account management experience to the role with a strong focus on industrial distribution having worked for the Irwin and Lennox tool brands who were part of Newell-Rubbermaid group, and more recently at Stanley Black & Decker.
At PCL, Robert will work closely with its strategic distribution partners to build relations and deliver solutions for tyre inflation, pneumatic tooling and components, as well as playing a key role in the expansion of the range.
Daniel Bridges and Laura Robinson join as area sales managers for the South West and South East respectively.

Pneumatic Components (PCL) has appointed Simon Alexander to the newly created role of category manager.
Simon Alexander’s focus at PCL is reviewing the factored products category range, including hose reels, compressors and air tools, and identifying and introducing new products, taking them all the way through from initial concept to manufacture and distribution.
With full commercial responsibility for factored products, Alexander’s role will entail research, developing new product concepts, getting customer feedback during the concept phase, finessing the concept, producing prototypes and then investing in the required tooling and working with suppliers to manufacture the highest quality product possible.
To support new product development, PCL has also invested in a 3D printer to enable it to prototype products and respond
