PCL Sales Director, Simon Shorter has relinquished his role in charge of End User and OEM sales at PCL to spend more time with his family as he looks forward to celebrating his 60^th birthday.

Pneumatics expert PCL has appointed a new Technical Sales Manager, Ben Kershaw, who will be responsible for growing sales and providing technical and product support in the petrol, automotive, industrial and fluid markets.

An experienced engineer, Ben has supported both internal and external stakeholders in technical management roles, most recently in renewable energy. During his career he has worked as a technical support engineer, delivering training, developing fault-finding guides and answering questions from engineers out in the field.

With a background in both mechanical and electrical engineering, Ben was attracted to the position at PCL as he is keen to use his mechanical skills in a sales-focused role within the automotive industry. As PCL continues to expand despite the pandemic, the company has made a crucial addition to its ever-expanding team. In her new role of Assistant Category Manager, Jodie Mitchell will help strengthen PCL’s global reach as a leading distributor of innovative tyre inflation and compressed air products by growing and maximising the product range potential.

Sheffield-based tyre inflation and pneumatics expert PCL continues to expand its HQ operation with the appointment of a new Customer Service Team Leader.

Reporting to Sales Director Lee Wright, Nicola Slazak will be responsible for providing hands on support, whilst leading the team in delivering the excellent customer service for which PCL is renowned.

One of Nicola’s main priorities will be to work closely with PCL’s warehouse and production teams to help streamline processes and improve the communication flow back to customers. She will also focus on strengthening relationships within PCL’s expanding field sales team.

Born and bred in South Yorkshire, having grown up in Rotherham and recently moved to Sheffield, Nicola is familiar with PCL’s world-leading reputation for manufacturing high quality products backed up by first class customer service.

As of January 1st, 2021, Joerg F. Mayer has been appointed as the new Managing Director at HORNGROUP Holding.

Together with Torsten H. Kutschinski, who has been successfully leading the group for more than 10 years, Mr Mayer will lead the company and focus on sales/marketing, product development and intercompany business. In the future, Mr Mayer will take sole responsibility for the management of the group. 

Over recent years, Mr. Mayer has been managing medium-sized engineering companies as well as a production facility in China for 6 years. He earned his Executive MBA from ESCP in Paris.

Steve Nolan to explore new avenues for PCL and its partners in the South

PCL has welcomed a new Area Sales Manager for the South of England to its team. Steve Nolan brings extensive experience within the motor industry to his new role, having worked on key automotive accounts dealing with distributors and end users, and covering national trade shows and conferences.

His territory stretches from the M4 down, with the entire region under his management following a restructure of PCL’s sales operation. Steve, who is based in Somerset, is excited about the prospects. He said: “It’s a huge area to cover with so much potential.
