PCL has answered a call from a global communications company to help ensure its employees are safe on the road
Neglecting tyre maintenance can cause serious, even fatal, accidents, and the company, which uses the world’s most advanced technology in its industry, takes its responsibility to employees who drive as part of their jobs seriously.
Therefore the company aims to educate its employees about tyre pressure by equipping company vehicles with a tyre pressure gauge and stressing the importance of fortnightly checks.
Good tyres have a positive affect on steering, braking, acceleration and fuel economy, whilst poor tyre maintenance not only increases the risk of accidents but could also mean a heavy fine and penalty points.

Two of PCL’s top of the range ACCURA 12 electronic inflators have been installed at Rimstock’s Ridgacre site to ensure accurate tyre pressure for a range of top car brands, including Lotus.

One of Britain’s finest aircraft has been returned to the skies in a blaze of glory with perfect pressure in its tyres, thanks to PCL
The campaign group responsible for getting the Avro Vulcan Bomber XH558 back the skies had an original 1940s PCL tyre pressure gauge which they thought couldn’t be mended.
But PCL was able to recalibrate it ready for general use on the Vulcan and all was well…until the Vulcan was ready to be moved recently for an engine test as part of a programmed schedule of ground maintenance.
It was then discovered that the gauge was not able to measure the top pressure required for the Vulcan, and it looked like the project was going to be set back, so they sent out another SOS call to PCL’s
